Miss Mariadas utilises a wide range of high quality metal components such as brass and stainless steel plated in 14k and 18k gold.Our jewellery is delicate, please wear it with care.
❖ Please store all earrings in the Miss Mariadas linen box or pouch provided, this will ensure longevity.
❖ Please note that all metals oxidise naturally with time and will require maintenance.
❖ It is only natural for earring posts to darken and lose it's shine, a jewellery polishing cloth will be provided for all gem stone purchases. If you would like your earring post changed this can be arranged for a reasonable price.
STAINLESS STEEL
❖The pieces made in stainless steel are designed to be worn frequently, however it is advised to remove the earrings prior to swimming, showering, cleaning, sleeping and exercising to lengthen the brilliance of your earrings.
GOLD PLATED BRASS
Please note: Gold plated jewellery is not solid gold.
To gold plate, the metal is dipped into a solution that contains gold or a coloured alloy. The item is then shot with an electric current and the resulting electrochemical reaction deposits a thin layer of gold (minimum 0.5 microns).
Gold Plating will wear off over time, to ensure longevity please follow the guidelines below:
❖ Use non-abrasive cleaning materials. If a cleaning substance is too strong it may remove the gold. Warm soap water and a gentle brush is highly recommended when cleaning delicate pieces.
❖ Ensure your hands are free of lotions, make-up, and soil before handling gold-plated pieces.
❖Be aware of tarnish which may occur as a result of oxidisation, caused by the interaction of silver or gold plated jewellery with certain elements such as oxygen or sulphur. Store your earrings in Miss Mariadas packaging or your own jewellery box.
❖Never go swimming wearing your jewellery, as chlorine in swimming pools can cause damage to all metals and will erode gold jewellery.
❖Remove gold-plated pieces before exercising or when sweating profusely to prevent salts from damaging the gold.
RETURNS
REFUND POLICY
In compliance with Australian Consumer Law, Miss Mariadas is not required to provide a refund or exchange for change of mind. Earrings especially are non-refundable and non-exchangeable for reasons of hygiene and safety, unless faulty - strictly no exceptions.
FAULTY ITEMS
Please note: Gold plated jewellery is not solid gold.
If there is a major fault with the style you've purchased, we will offer to repair or replace it where available. If we cannot repair or replace the style, we will offer an online credit note or refund. All claims for faulty styles are assessed on an individual basis, and the outcome of a refund is at Miss Mariadas' discretion.
Please note that wear and tear in the course of normal use is not considered a manufacturing fault. This includes but is not limited to surface scratches, tarnished metal caused by contact with chemicals such as perfumes/skin care and the loss of stones/pearls. Unless the product was received with the fault and we were notified within the 5 day post delivery timeline, the product will not be accepted for a return/refund.
If you believe your item is faulty please email us on info@missmariadas.com with a description and photograph within the 5 day time frame.

STANDARD SHIPPING (3-10 BUSINESS DAYS) Standard shipping with tracking is available for $5.95 on orders under $75.00 All Australian orders over $75.00 will receive standard shipping for FREE.
EXPRESS SHIPPING (1-5 BUSINESS DAYS)
Express shipping with tracking is available for a flat rate of $8.95
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS STANDARD SHIPPING TO ONLY: USA, CANADA, UNITED KINGDOM AND NEW ZEALAND (14+ BUSINESS DAYS APPROX)
Standard shipping with tracking is available for a flat rate of $20 AUD. We are not shipping to any other countries at this point in time, thank you for your understanding.
PROCESSING TIME
Orders are processed and sent within 48 hours of your order being placed (except weekends and public holidays). Any order placed on a weekend or public holiday will be processed and sent with 48 hours of the next business day.

If you have not received your order after the 7 business day threshold for standard registered delivery please contact us via email or our contact form online and we will contact Australia Post on behalf of you. We generally allow one week (five business days) after the estimated arrival date for postage enquiries as we understand that sometimes there can be delays.
